Aaron and I met in Louisiana way back in December of 1993. At that point he lived in Mandeville, LA and I lived in Evansville, IN. I already had plans to move back to Louisiana with my best friend, Anita, after I graduated high school. So, in October of 1994 I packed a suitcase and a backpack and got on a plane to New Orleans. Aaron and a few of his friends, on their way back from a trip to Mexico, picked me up from the airport and our life together began. In the following years we raised 3 kids, had dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, 2 snakes and a chinchilla (not all at the same time thankfully), moved from Louisiana to Florida and have a few career changes along the way. We always talked about traveling the US and beyond in an RV when we retired and the kids had their own lives. Well, opportunity knocked and we answered! His job gave him an opportunity for a promotion, less work related travel and the ability to work remotely for the majority of the time from any and everywhere. We jumped on it! We decided that it was time to make our dream of non-work related travel come true. We looked and looked and finally found our Airstream! After a few months of improvements (solar panels, better tow vehicle, bedding, decorative pillows, throw blankets, art pieces from family and friends and other such things), our new home was ready to hit the road!
